Visionary, Designer, Writer, Kindred Spirit - Cancer Caregiver

Life is like a rollercoaster ride filled with delightful surprises &

the source of strength for my loved one battling cancer.

Like others going thru unexpected seasons, I lean on the

fantastic gals in my life. They are the cheerleaders, comedians,

therapists, prayer warriors, and navigators thru stormy seas and

sunny days. A beacon of light and love in our blessed life.

Story of Hope

Jeremiah 29:11

Tammy Sullivan

I have been fortunate to meet many amazing gals of

all ages through SONflower Gal. Occasionally, you

encounter someone truly special—an Angel who

brightens the room with God’s warmth and love.

Tammy is one of those graceful Angels,

radiating light and leaving you in awe of her

joy and steadfast faith in the Lord . . . as she

openly shared her cancer journey, bringing

forth a powerful story of hope.

Cancer Survivor A Light In The Darkness, Kindred Spirit

We are all truly blessed by the presence of incredible women of faith in our lives.

Some of these remarkable individuals enter our world like graceful angels,

bringing forth delicate petals of love precisely when we need them most.

I am a survivor, and my name is

Tammy Sullivan. I began battling cancer

back in the early 1990's, and here I am

today, at 65 living my best life in Christ.

Her Story of Hope

I view cancer in an odd way at times. Some say I'm just

a goof. Yet when I think if I had not had my diagnosis, I

would not have received His blessing of saying thank

you to my long-ago friend. What's amazing is we

picked up right where we left off since leaving high

school. Each time I travel back to my hometown, she

and I have lunch or dinner and chat the hours away as

if we never left the high school cafeteria! And yes, we

go home to our husbands, instead of our parents, with

them asking " Say, where have you been?"

Blessings, Tammy Sullivan

I've often wondered why cancer chose me. As I lived

each day the very best I could. I realized it was He, that

chose me, not cancer. The Lord was blessing me with

hopes and dreams I had-had for many-many years

and opportunities were about to happen.

God is good-all the time, and it is, in His time!

I have many favorite bible verses and Jerimiah 29:11,

is one I ponder and praise God for often.

“For I have great plans for you, says the Lord!"

He does have great plans for me, and He has great

plans for you as well. As I think back on all the

wonderful people God placed within my journey, I'm

reminded daily of this encouraging verse. I am blessed

with His breath of life, and I thank the Lord for the

special folks I hold so dear in my heart.

One such girl is from my 8th grade class. As I learned to

slow down and enjoy each day, she popped in my mind

one afternoon during treatment. I wondered how she

had made out regarding life. Was she still in our

hometown, had she moved, married, children? Gosh I

wanted to know everything. Little did I know, she too,

had been affected by breast cancer. I found her name

on a social media post announcing a gathering of

cancer survivors. In responding to this post, it indeed

was my childhood friend I remembered so well. She

was always so very kind to me and now, God had

provided the opportunity to simply say thank you.

So when I say to you, I'm so thankful to be a part of

such amazing survivors, I repeat the words from

Jerimiah 29:11 “For I have great plans for you, says

the Lord!" . . . His plans, His timing, Amazing

Thank you sisters and brothers, for being a part of my

journey. By faith I know He has great plans for you too.

Perhaps there is someone from long ago you would

like to thank God for their presence in your life,

however brief it may have been.

“Please get your "girls" checked!”

His drops of Grace . . . seeds planted never seize.

“Right now I have the blessing of going with

my mom. It always brings me comfort.”

Go with a

friend or loved

one to get a

mammogram.

Having a cherished

friend by your side

can provide both

comfort & happiness.

Keep in mind that taking care of your

health not only benefits you but also

highlights the importance of self-care

for those around you. Early detection is

crucial, and with a loving gal by your side,

a routine check-up can turn into a

cherished bonding experience.

Share stories or enjoy a few

laughs while you wait, as that

familiar face can bring peace

and calm to your spirit.

For her

‘Her Prayers’ are crafted to assist

the individual reciting them.

However, if you are praying for

someone else, simply replace

the word 'I' or any relevant terms

with their name.

The seven prayers encompass:

Anxiety, Caregiver, Fear, Healing, Hope,

Gratitude and LOVE

There are times when we struggle

to find the right words to pray.

The upcoming pages feature seven heartfelt prayers

thoughtfully written to support you in praying

for yourself, a loved one, a friend, or anyone

who has asked for prayer in any season of life.

Her Prayer

In Your Divine Name I Pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, surround me with love and positivity,

and let the warmth of Hope fill my spirit.

May Hope be my guiding star illuminating my path

towards peace, joy, and fulfillment, knowing that Hope

is a powerful force that can light even my darkest night.

May Your unwavering love and grace wrap around me

like a warm embrace, providing strength and courage

to face each new day . . . reminding me that I am

never alone on this journey with You by my side.

As I navigate thru life’s challenges, may my spirit be

uplifted and my burdens lightened. May unwavering

faith and Hope be my constant companion, a beacon

that leads me to brighter days yet to come.

With each prayer, let Hope blossom within me like a

sunflower soaking up the sun . . . renewing my spirit, filling

me with peace, and reminding me of new beginnings.
