The cozy
holiday that
she prefers.
There’s something about Autumn that feels like a
soft exhale. The trees are dressed in their finest
most colorful attire, and the amber leaves
crunch underfoot, dancing in the wind before
their final soft landing. The air smells of heavenly
cinnamon and wood smoke —inviting you to
pause and savor the season.

Turkey or Tinsel Season – what’s your favorite?
Inside, warm fireplaces glow, filling living rooms
with a gentle, golden warmth. Outside, cozy
sweaters hug every shoulder, scarves twirl in the
crisp breeze, and fuzzy knit beanies top the
heads of your favorite gal pals. Laughter
bounces between friends and family, mugs of
hot cider in hand, and every little thing seems to
whisper, “Slow down. Give thanks.”
Then comes Thanksgiving. Ahhh… the holiday
that gets it right. No pressure. No price tags. Just
good food, belly laughs that make your cheeks
hurt, and hearts full of gratitude. A holiday where
every extra helping of yummy, buttery, lumpy
mashed potatoes is totally encouraged (no
calorie counting today, lol), and the stories—yes,
even your silly aunt who shares the same one
again and again—are celebrated because they
make the table feel alive.
Not because we don’t love the sparkle of
Christmas or the joy of New Year’s, but because
th’ endless lists, the gift-buying, and the ‘must-
do’ moments can make our hearts feel tired (and
maybe a little anxiety and resentment) from all
those last-minute to-do’s.

And let’s be honest… sometimes
Thanksgiving just hits different.
Shhh . . .yep, she said it! “Pass the
mashed potatoes and don’t tell
the Christmas elves”.
Thanksgiving:
simple. joyful. blessed.
Perhaps the cozy holiday
our hearts have been
yearning for all year long.
So this season, before the holiday blur begins,
let’s pause. Let’s savor the cinnamon-spiced air,
the cozy table, the memories that echo longer
than any carol, and please—enjoy the extra slice
of pie (or three or four—who’s counting?).
At a Thanksgiving table, there’s room for every
voice to be heard, every ‘remember when’ story
to be shared, and every unexpected mishap in
the kitchen (like when the gravy decides to take
a life of its own—totally part of the holiday
culinary charm).
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your
hearts, to which indeed you were called in
one body. And be thankful.” — Colossians 3:15
Imagine carrying that same spirit into Christmas
—less frantic shopping, more heartfelt gestures
for those in need, more jolly belly laughs, more
warmth (and maybe fewer battles against those
tangled strings of lights). Thanksgiving reminds
us that the best gifts—love, joy, gratitude—can’t
be wrapped. They flow from the Lord, through
our hearts, into the hands and smiles of the
people around us.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Lord, thank You for food,
family, friends, and this
moment of pause.
May our hearts stay full of
gratitude, our laughter flow
freely, and Your love be the
center of our celebrations.
Amen.”
It’s a celebration of God’s
blessings, even those unseen,
and a reminder that joy doesn’t
come from shopping and lists
—it comes from gratitude.

Helpful Tips for Success:
Completely cool the sugar cookies
before dipping.
Dip half of the cookie first, then let
cool to harden (before doing sprinkles).
Once the ‘half chocolate’ is hardened,
use a small spoon to make a chocolate
circle center and immediately add
sprinkles. Let COOL ... then shake off
excess sprinkles
Stick the stickers on the bakery bags
before opening, then add cookies.
Wash your hands before assembling
bakery bags or you’ll get grease on the
bags and that’s not pretty :)

— darting through glittering
aisles of garland and gift wrap,
peppermint mochas in hand,
determined to attend every
holiday happening. After all,
who could possibly miss the
cookie exchange, the church
tea, or that 50%-off sale?
Her house looked like Christmas had exploded in
the best way — twinkle lights draped from every
corner, tinsel shimmering like fresh snow, and
stockings lined the mantel like tiny velvet
guardians. Gingerbread men were lined up like
soldiers on the counter, and her dog wore
antlers (ruff! not again!) that made her giggle
while trying to Insta and TikTok the moment.
Then came the bell ringers, their bright red
buckets jingling with each coin tossed in or digital
donation (yes, Apple Pay and Venmo welcome),
accompanied by carolers wrapped in scarves and
mittens, exhaling little clouds into the chilly air.
And, Santa seemed to appear from nowhere
(with don’t forget me twinkling eyes), bellowing
“Ho! Ho! Ho!” as she handed over her last few
coins — though her budget had already waved
the white flag days ago. Through it all, she
sparkled on the outside, as her inner voice
whispered, “I can’t wait for the holidays to end.”
Wait… did she really just say that?
Surely not! Isn’t this supposed to
be the most wonderful time of
the year — brimming with jolly,
peace on earth, and joy to all?
Her shopping bags jingled like sleigh bells,
overflowing with ‘just one more’ gift — and
maybe a sparkly treat for herself too. Twinkling
lights reflected in shop windows, and the air
smelled of pine, gingerbread cookies, and the
sweet tang of candy canes. She ducked around
people in reindeer sweaters and Santa hats,
trying not to spill her cocoa while snapping a
quick selfie by a giant nutcracker and cute elf.
The sweet aroma of vanilla sugar wafted from
the kitchen, where she was busy baking,
decorating, and wrapping with frosting-covered
fingers. She attempted to smile through the
chaos of glitter ribbons, sparkling bows, and the
gentle melodies of carols, even as the clock
ticked past midnight, beckoning her to her cozy
bed. Yet, she still needed to fit in that hair
appointment—after all, the cookies and pretty
wrapped gifts wouldn’t be the only things
captured in photographs (and don’t forget about
the pedi, mani, and new holiday outfit).
And perhaps, she smiled
as she sipped her soothing
warm cocoa, this year
could be different —
the true magic of
Christmas isn’t in her
doing it all, but in simply
praising and celebrating
that He’s already here.
So she took a deep breath, letting the quiet wash
over her, the kind that softens the edges of hurry.
The kind that whispers, “Be still,” reminding her
that peace is found not in the rush, but in His
heavenly presence.
In that stillness, the chaos seemed to hush.
The lights on the tree twinkled softer, reflecting
off baubles and crystal ornaments. The carols
sounded sweeter, mingling with the soft crackle
of the fireplace. Outside, snowflakes drifted lazily
to the ground, coating the world in a sparkling
hush. For a moment, the world felt wrapped in
grace. She remembered that Christmas was
never meant to be a checklist or a race, but a
celebration of love come down — of a Savior born
in the humblest of places, bringing peace to
weary hearts and light to all who seek Him.
The perfect gift isn’t found under the tree or
tucked in a shiny bag. It comes from above,
freely given to all who receive it.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given; and the government shall be upon his
shoulders: and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.”
—Isaiah 9:6
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
(NIV)
Maybe, just maybe, she’d
gotten caught in the twinkle
instead of the wonder.
Somewhere between the peppermint lattes, the
frosted storefronts, the perfectly wrapped gifts,
and the occasional awkward family photo, she’d
misplaced that quiet joy — the one that isn’t
wrapped in shiny paper or tied with satin ribbon.
Luke 2:8-14

“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding
in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
“I can tell you what
Christmas is all about,"
said Linus . . .
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,
and the Glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were so afraid.
And the Angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God, and saying . . .
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace,
good will toward men.”
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
The essence of this period
lies in reflections of gratitude,
celebration, charity, and
togetherness.
The Twelve Days of Christmas has taken a sleigh ride into the land of retail madness,
where stores roll out twelve days of jaw-dropping sales to jingle your wallets!
However, do you truly understand the original meaning behind
the Twelve Days of Christmas?
The Twelve Days of Christmas
traditionally span from December
25 to January 5, celebrating Jesus'
birth and culminating in the Epiphany
on January 6, which marks the Magi's
visit to the Christ child. Each day holds
significance with various religious
and cultural customs, fostering
community joy and giving thanks.

Snow Globe
Prayer
Ornaments
Each one begins as a simple empty clear
globe (the pull apart kind), waiting, like a tiny
invitation for hope. Sprinkle in a handful
of faux snow (even if it’s 70 degrees outside,
we can pretend it’s a winter wonderland), and
keep a little stack of folded paper close by.
As family and friends stop in — or your gal pals
gather for cocoa, laughter, and a holiday
movie or two — invite them to jot down a
prayer, a wish, or a whispered hope for the
New Year. Fold it up tight (no peeking,
promise!), and tuck it inside your snowglobe
of blessings and hang it on the tree.
Let It Snow, Let It Shine
Lift Her Up
There’s something magical about snow — how it hushes the world, the shimmer,
and how it seems to carry prayers and heaven on every flake. This year, bring that
same wonder indoors with a blessed heartfelt New Year’s tradition full of
faith, togetherness, and love from above . One of my new favorite traditions.✨
Snowglobe Prayer Ornament —
a simple, faith-filled craft that turns your
Christmas tree into a gathering place for
blessings, hopes, and whispered prayers.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his
face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord
turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
— Numbers 6:24-26
Each note becomes a little snowflake of faith —
unseen but shining, filling your home with hope.
By the time the holidays have come and gone,
your tree will hold more than ornaments; it will
hold the hearts and prayers of the gal pals and
those who make your world bright.
When the New Year’s Eve rings in, gather near
the glow, say a prayer over each ornament,
and thank God for all He’s done — and all He’s
yet to do.
And yes, it’s absolutely okay to put your
Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving.
In fact, the sooner it’s up, the sooner you
can start collecting those blessings. (We’ll
just call it ‘faith-forward decorating’!)
So this season, let your tree do more than sparkle
— let it be purposeful. Let it snow, let it shine… and
lift her (or him) up.
Gently open each globe and gather the folded
notes, each one a tiny whisper of hope, love,
and faith. You can place them in a special
keepsake box, a treasure chest of God’s
promises, and continue to lift each prayer to
Him throughout the New Year.
Blessings Beyond
the Ornaments
After The Tree
The twinkle lights have dimmed, the ornaments carefully tucked away — but the
prayers inside your Snow Globe Ornaments are just beginning their journey. ✨
“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to
all who call on Him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18
Like snowflakes that fall and melt into the
earth, these prayers settle into your life,
growing faith, gratitude, and hope each day.
Your Snow Globe Prayer Ornaments have
become more than holiday keepsakes
— they are prayers in bloom, a daily reminder
that love, faith, and blessing never fade.
When the New Year’s Eve rings
in, gather near the glow, say a
prayer over each ornament, and
thank God for all He’s done —
and all He’s yet to do.
Or transform them into a beautiful
Prayer Bouquet. Nestle the folded notes at
the bottom of a clear vase (remember the no
peeking promise!), and crown them with a
bloom of dried flowers. Place your bouquet
where you’ll see it often — on a desk, a prayer
corner, your bedside, or atop the mantel.
Each glance becomes a gentle call to pray, a
quiet reminder that God’s love and the hearts
of your loved ones surround you always.
Pause often,
breathe deeply
and be fully
present for the
holidays.

Matthew11:28
I will embrace the quiet magic of each day, finding
delight in the little wonders that often go
unnoticed. I will watch the twinkle of lights along
frosty streets, savor laughter-filled moments
spent with cherished gal pals, and breathe in the
comforting whispers of spices drifting through
the air—letting myself be wrapped in making
cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
I will give myself permission to slow down, to
linger a little longer with loved ones, and to
reflect on the blessings and answered prayers
that have touched my heart this past year. I will
treasure the conversations that bloom like warm
candlelight and the hush of still moments that
bring me peace.
This season, I will let my presence be the gift I
offer most freely—a reminder that the richest
treasures in life are not found in paper or ribbon,
but in love, intention, and the tender warmth we
share with those we hold dear.
